Reflections and Goal Statement 2

こんばんは、

First, I feel as though I have come a long way in my Japanese pronunciation over the last six weeks. I think I am beginning to get a little better at not putting as much stress on words (as I would in English), although I would still like to improve this. Also, during a conversation, my speed has improved.

I have mostly kept to my planned activities, although there have been a few days where I have not been able to shadow some material for 10 minutes. I would like to improve on this, although I think I will change this goal to be more along the lines of 2-3 minutes per day, which is more easily obtainable.

Looking ahead, I would like to improve my speed especially, particularly when it comes to fast passages in shadowing. I definitely need some practice in this, and the most important thing for me will be that shadowing, 2-3 minutes every day. I will continue to read the book as much as possible, and go to as many language tables as I can (including the advanced section). One additional goal is to have at least one consultation per week with しばた先生、starting with this week if I can find a time that works.

Here are my new goals:
  • Get faster at shadowing/speaking Japanese
  • Improve my pitch pronunciation
  • Lose the stress I am putting on words
Here are my planned activities:
  • Study the textbook as much as possible
  • Whenever possible, shadow sources (at least 3 minutes per day). If I am having trouble with a particular source, continue shadowing it multiple days until I have it down.
  • Meet with しばた先生 at least once a week
  • Go to as many language tables as I can
With a lot of work, I feel as though I can improve!

じゃあ、また
ダグ
